VolumeMax Diet Coach AI - Privacy Policy

Data Collection

VolumeMax collects the following data to provide personalized diet coaching:

• Dietary preferences — Your name, calorie goals, food likes/dislikes, and allergy information entered during onboarding
• Chat messages — Messages you send to the AI diet coach
• Photos — Menu or meal photos you choose to share for analysis

This data is stored locally on your device. We do not maintain accounts or store your data on our servers.

Third-Party AI Service

VolumeMax uses Google's Gemini AI to power the diet coach and menu scanner features. When you use these features, the following data is transmitted to Google's servers for processing:

• Your chat messages and any text you enter
• Your dietary preferences (allergies, food likes/dislikes, calorie goals) to personalize responses
• Any photos you share (meal photos, menu photos)

This data is sent securely via HTTPS through our proxy server. We do not store your messages or photos on our servers — they are forwarded to Google for processing and the response is returned to your device.

Google's processing of this data is subject to Google's Generative AI Privacy Policy. Google maintains data protection practices that provide the same or greater level of protection as described in this privacy policy.

Camera & Photo Access

The app requests camera and photo library access for scanning restaurant menus and meal photos. Photos are processed temporarily by Google Gemini AI and are not retained by us.

Subscriptions

Subscription purchases are handled entirely by Apple. We do not collect or store any payment information.

Data Sharing

We share data only with the following third party:

• Google (Gemini AI) — Chat messages, dietary preferences, and photos as described above, for the purpose of providing AI-powered diet coaching and menu analysis

We do not sell, rent, or share your data with any other third parties.

Data Retention

All personal data is stored locally on your device. Deleting the app removes all locally stored data. Data sent to Google Gemini for processing is subject to Google's data retention policies.

Your Rights

You can delete all your data at any time by deleting the app or using "Restart Onboarding" in Settings, which clears all preferences and chat history.
